Piano Life Saver is a complete, internal humidity control system designed specifically for pianos.
The system combines dehumidifying and humidifying components with a control unit that responds to changes in relative humidity around the piano. When the environment is too dry, the system adds moisture. When it is too humid, the system dries the air in the piano.
By moderating humidity at the piano, Piano Life Saver helps:
Improve tuning stability
Support soundboard health
Reduce the risk of cracking, warping, and sticking keys related to humidity swings

Every six to twelve months.
Pianos expand and contract with seasonal climate changes. In Toronto, we experience hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. These temperature changes drastically change a piano’s tuning.
Keeping a piano in tune regularly also increases the longevity of the instrument, for those with a family heirloom and want to keep it in top notch shape.
-
A pitch raise is required when a piano’s pitch is lower than 20-25 cents (about a quarter of a semitone) from standard pitch (A-440Hz). The general rule of thumb is two years or more from the piano’s last tuning.
-
Every piano is different, many different factors include:
time since last tuning
environment & piano condition
additional repairs or adjustments
-
We offer a 10% multi-piano discount for two or more pianos on the property.
We also offer a pay-what-you-can service for public school pianos as we know funding for arts departments is dwindling. We like to do our part to keep students playing on perfectly tuned and maintained pianos!
